Does it affect me?

Whilst this regulation does not apply in the UK, you may need to do this if you operate in the US and are registered with the SEC.

Investment advisers registered with the SEC that manage private funds and have at least $150 million in private fund assets under management must file Form PF. This includes hedge fund advisers, private equity fund advisers, and liquidity fund advisers.

What do I need to do?

Make sure your firm understands its obligations and collates all the data and information required for your Form PF report. Take care to follow the SEC's designated reporting structure and requirements as you go along. Then validate and submit your report in XML format.

What's the deadline?

If your business is affected, then hopefully you're already filing your Form PF reports. Factors like the size and type of your business will affect how often you need to submit reports. You might need to submit some reports quarterly and some annually.
