What do I need to do?

Contractors must register with HMRC, verify subcontractors, make appropriate deductions, and submit monthly returns. Subcontractors should register to avoid higher deductions and ensure their tax affairs are in order.

What's the deadline?

Monthly returns must be submitted to HMRC by the 19th of each month following the last tax month. For example, returns for the tax month ending January 5th are due by January 19th.
